Some Info About the Magazine

Published monthly as a FREE magazine, Overflow holds a high standard in editorial and graphic quality.  Overflow publishes articles and content that is LOCAL to the community where it’s distributed. What makes Overflow unique? It’s the ability to present a high quality Christ-centered publication free of charge to the community.

How Do I Write For Overflow?

We’re always looking for local contributors/writers. We only ask that you let us know if the content has been published anywhere else. Below are some guidelines for the different sections in the magazine. We ask that you keep your submission between 150 – 1650 words depending on the section.

Contributor Articles – (600 – 1650 words)

This section is for our readers to share what God has placed on their hearts.  This section is meant to teach, encourage, and give hope. Articles must be centered on God and His Word. We accept positive articles that contain genuine and interesting content. For this section, we are not usually interested in publishing first-person perspectives. We have special sections just for that.

Magnify Him – (150 – 1650 words)

Every month we receive testimonies, which we like to call “Magnify Him” reports. This section offers our readers a platform to magnify God by sharing what He has done in their lives. These stories give glory to God and share His goodness, while giving hope to our readers. We receive large and small testimonies and publish both. It’s amazing to read even the smallest Magnify Him report because it shows us that God wants to be involved in every aspect of our lives, even in the little things!

Cover Spotlights

Every month, we spotlight a business, ministry, or an influential Christian on the cover. We take recommendations for spotlights, not submissions. The spotlights are something we pray about and seek God’s wisdom on.

How Do I Submit An Article?

Please submit a Microsoft Word document or any rich text file. E-mail submissions are preferred, please refrain from phone or fax submissions. We encourage you to read our Media Kit and some of our previous issues of Overflow to familiarize yourself with the magazine’s content before submitting or inquiring more about writing. Your piece can be submitted by using this form.

Do I Get Paid For Submitting?

All submissions are on a voluntary basis. We ask that you tell us if the content has been published in any other publication. For your article to be considered for publishing, you must possess the copyright to the material. Along with your article, you can include a short bio (2 sentences) to potentially be published as well.
